Funkmaster Flex is a true pioneer in hip-hop and one of the most influential DJs to ever come out of New York City. Known for his booming voice, exclusive freestyles, and signature sound effects, Flex has been the heartbeat of NYC’s hip-hop scene for decades. His presence on HOT 97 since the early ’90s helped shape the careers of countless artists and set the standard for radio DJs across the country.
But Flex’s influence doesn’t stop at the turntables. He’s also the mastermind behind Lit Digital DJs, a high-powered collective of elite DJs and tastemakers. From names like DJ Khaled and DJ Mustard to trendsetters like DJ Vashtie and Swizz Beatz, this crew represents the cutting edge of hip-hop and R&B nightlife. Under Flex’s leadership, Lit Digital DJs goes beyond just spinning records—they create curated music experiences, throw unforgettable parties, and set the vibe for major cultural events.

When Funkmaster Flex and Lit Digital DJs needed a mobile app to match their energy and keep their audience connected, AppPresser stepped in to build a custom solution to fit their needs. Designed to highlight their team and let users stream live radio, the app reflects their sound and their brand without overcomplicating the experience.
Showcasing the Talent and Streaming the Sound
We structured the app around two core features: music streaming and DJ discovery. Right when users open the app, they’re greeted with a built-in radio player featuring live streams from Hot 97 and 107.5 WBLS—two of New York City’s most iconic stations. These streams deliver nonstop hip-hop, R&B, and soul, capturing and advertising the same energy that Lit Digital DJs bring to their events. The player works seamlessly across iOS and Android, with AirPlay support built in so users can stream to external speakers, TVs, or cars with ease.
The second tab in the app features a clean scrollable list of the full Lit Digital DJs roster. This gives users a simple way to get familiar with the team, whether they’re planning an event or just want to see who’s behind the brand. It’s a straightforward layout designed for quick access and easy navigation, keeping the experience focused and mobile-friendly.

This app was built 100% with AppPresser's Visual App Builder. While the current version of this app is focused and lightweight, it’s built with room to grow. The Lit Digital DJs team now has a mobile platform that matches their energy and can scale alongside their business. New features can easily be added to the app in later versions.
An update to the old app, no more mixes but stream Hot97 AND WBLS anytime you want but Especially when LitDigitalDJs are on!!!
App is great very few bugs and music selection is amazing!!!! Old school new music hip hop r&b spanish music reggae and so much more!! I have some ideas for a better player look and playlist capabilities also the music doesn't always play in the order that i want it to and it always goes back to the first song it feels like which is kind of annoying but I've had this app since the first day it came out and all i can say is pure genius!! Best music app out
