AppPresser 2 is here!

After several months of development and testing, we are excited to release AppPresser 2!

This is a complete overhaul of the way AppPresser works, and this release includes a lot of new features and updates to existing products.

Here’s what you have to look forward to:

New Features

We announced a lot of features in our previous post, but there’s also some newer stuff too! In case you missed the video, check it out.

Offline Mode

Offline support for your app is finally here! Read more about it in our documentation.

New Ion Theme

Ion is a leaner, meaner theme for your app that utilizes components from the Ionic Framework.

Your apps now load faster, and it’s easier to use custom PhoneGap plugins. Additionally, there have been lots of bug fixes and small improvements.

New, New Stuff

We have been secretly working on some other awesome features…

PhoneGap File Builder

Building your PhoneGap files is now as easy as filling out a form. We even generate all of your splash screen and icon images (this is a huge time saver). Learn more in our docs.

New AppPresser Preview App

Preview your app on a device without fussing with any building or certificates! Simply install AppPresser 2, and enter your url in the Preview App. More info.

Push Notifications Updates

New in AppPresser 2, you can send rich HTML pages through Pushwoosh, along with custom URL links in your push notifications.

How to get AppPresser 2

All current and new customers will get access to AppPresser 2. All product downloads and build files have been automatically updated, so for new customers you don’t have to do anything special.

If you are a new customer looking to purchase, choose a bundle on our pricing page.

How to Update from AppPresser 1 to 2

Customers with valid licenses to any products will receive automatic update notices through WordPress.

All AppPresser plugins and themes can be updated through WordPress without issue. Upgrading to AppPresser 2 requires rebuilding your app files and re-submitting your app to the app stores following our new documentation here.

IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to update your AppPresser core plugin!

Video Demo

For a full demo of AppPresser 2, checkout our recent webinar on YouTube:

AppPresser licenses will now auto-renew every year for all new purchases.

Previously, you would have to manually renew your licenses, but that is inconvenient and causes you to lose out on important updates and support. Here are some important notes about renewals:

  • Pricing has not changed, and you still get a renewal discount
  • Current customers DO NOT switch to automatic billing, only new purchases
  • Cancel any time with no restrictions
  • If you cancel you will still receive one full year of updates and support, and you can renew manually if you wish

Whew, that was a lot of new stuff! We have been hard at work and will continue to innovate and bring you value. This is a big step forward for AppPresser apps, we hope you like it as much as we do!

Starting a new project on Apppresser soon, it’s really getting exciting 🙂

    Thanks, it seems very nice.
I hope to see 2 features in the future by using Activity:
    1. Add multi photos in one post (maybe a limit to a certain number, for example 6); the photos will pop up if you click on them.
    2. Can select a category to make a post

We are excited about that one too, glad you like it!

In my mobile gallary, if I select a picture and share, I can not see this App in the list (PressChat).
If it will also in the share option app list, then it will make it more like a native App.
